December 15, 2015 – Rigel Engineering Introduces DDR3L sRIO XMC Memory Module

High-speed DDR3L XMC Memory Module with two x4 Serial Rapid IO interfaces

Merritt Island, FL. – December 15, 2015 – Rigel Engineering introduces the XC9000 high-speed XMC memory buffer module designed to supplement any high performance embedded computing (HPEC) system that requires high-speed temporary storage.

Rigel Engineering’s XC9000 is a high-performance XMC buffer memory card that supports up to two x4 Serial Rapid IO (sRIO) interfaces. Each interface is dedicated to an 8 or 16Gbyte bank of high-speed DDR3L memory with ECC. The throughput of each x4 sRIO interface can support sustained 6Gbps read and 6Gbps write cycles. The card may also be configured as a single sRIO interface with 8 or 16GB of memory. An example application includes DSP processing systems that require temporary fast storage and expanded memory capability.

“The XC9000’s memory capacity, high-performance and state of the art design make it ideal for high-speed systems that require a larger memory buffer than is typically available on the system’s base card”, says Lee Stevens, CEO of Rigel Engineering. “This is the only such product currently available in the industry”.

  • Up to 32 GBs DDR3L Memory on an XMC platform with dual x4 Serial Rapid IO (sRIO) ports
  • Configured as two separate memory banks, one for each sRIO port
  • Commercial Air-Cooled and Rugged, Conduction-Cooled available
  • Vita Standard 42.0/42.2 compliant
  • ECC Support
  • Two 4x sRIO ports at 2.5GHz or 3.125GHz
  • 4GB/s bandwidth per DDR3L interface
  • 6Gb/s simultaneous R/W performance across sRIO
  • Max power 8 watts
